PEEKPolyether ether ketone
PEEK has the highest heat resistance of any melt-processable semi-crystalline resin, with a continuous service temperature of 250℃. Its fatigue resistance, environmental resistance and flame retardancy (no corrosive gases and little smoke) make it the choice for demanding electrical, electronic and aerospace applications. It combines high stiffness with high elongation and excellent impact resistance, making it an exceptionally tough material.

Grades
Ketron® PEEK 1000
The highest elongation and toughness of all PEEK grades.
The newly available black PEEK 1000 suits equipment parts where appearance matters and seals where ductility and inertness are critical.
Ketron® PEEK CA30
30% carbon fiber reinforced
Carbon fiber raises compressive strength and stiffness and sharply lowers thermal expansion, optimizing wear and load resistance.
Its thermal conductivity is higher than unfilled PEEK, so bearing surfaces dissipate more heat, improving bearing life and performance.
Ketron® PEEK HPV
Bearing grade
Contains graphite, PTFE lubricant and carbon fiber. It has an extremely low coefficient of friction and the best machinability of all PEEK grades.
Low friction, high wear resistance, a high PV value, minimal wear on mating parts and good machinability make it ideal for bearings in extreme environments.
Ketron® PEEK GF30
30% glass fiber reinforced
Glass fiber sharply lowers thermal expansion and increases flexural modulus.
Ideal for structural applications that need strength, rigidity or stability above 150℃ (300℉).
Applications
- Instrumentation components and precision parts
- Semiconductor manufacturing equipment and plating equipment parts
- Nuclear power equipment
- Metal surface treatment equipment, automotive parts and aircraft parts
- Production line components; valves, pumps and piping for hot water and steam

Frequently asked questions
What temperature can PEEK withstand?
Its continuous service temperature is 250℃. Its properties barely change even after 3,000 hours in pressurized hot water or steam at 250℃.
What sizes of PEEK sheet and rod are available?
Sheet thicknesses are 5, 6, 8, 10, 16, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 mm and rod diameters are Φ5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 56, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, 100, 120 mm, in natural color.
What is the flammability rating of PEEK?
PEEK is rated UL94 V-0. It emits no corrosive gases and little smoke.
When should I use carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (CA30)?
When you need higher compressive strength and stiffness with lower thermal expansion. It conducts heat better than unfilled PEEK, so bearing surfaces dissipate more heat and bearings last longer.
Can PEEK be used for parts that touch food?
PEEK is certified for food contact and can be used in products that come into direct contact with food. Please confirm the grade with us when you request a quote.
