Overview
MC NYLON is a type of ENGINEERING PLASTIC. Although its polymerization and molding methods differ from those of standard NYLON-6, it is a crystalline polymer produced by using caprolactam with chemical catalysts. It features excellent mechanical strength, self-lubricating properties, and heat resistance, making it a popular alternative to metals. Its capability for continuous use under high-speed rotation and high temperatures makes it a commercial-grade material with outstanding physical properties.
Properties
As it is formed through chemical change rather than physical molding, it possesses a molecular weight over 10 times greater and a crystallinity roughly twice that of NYLON-6, resulting in minimal residual stress.
-Excellent Mechanical Strength
Compared to conventional nylon resins, it offers superior mechanical strength and durability.
Superior dimensional stability, thermal properties, noise reduction, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, and creep characteristics.
-Outstanding Wear Resistance and Self-Lubrication
Excellent sliding performance; suitable as a substitute for non-ferrous metals.
-Chemical Resistance
Resistant to organic solvents, oils, and alkaline chemicals.
-Continuous Use Temperature = 120°C
Applications
Wheels, gears, rollers, liners, slides, star wheels, guides, insulators, sieves, etc.
