Overview

Polycarbonate is a type of thermoplastic that features excellent impact resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, self-extinguishing properties, and transparency. It has more than 150 times the impact strength of reinforced glass. As a flexible and highly processable material, polycarbonate is often used as an alternative to fragile and easily deformed acrylic or standard glass. It is widely applied as an innovative building material across various fields.

Features

The strength of PC is 250 times that of glass and more than 30 times that of acrylic, protecting lives and property from various disasters.

Compared to glass, PC has a lower thermal conductivity, providing high thermal efficiency and reducing heating and cooling costs.

PC is about half the weight of glass and is flexible, allowing it to be installed in curved forms—resulting in reduced structural and installation costs.

-Outstanding Weather Resistance

PC is treated with UV-resistant coating to prevent yellowing and aging. With excellent heat resistance (40℃ to 135℃), it retains its clean appearance without deformation.

–Clear Transparency

PC has a light transmittance of 85–91%, similar to glass, and provides a clear and vibrant view of the outside.

-Self-Extinguishing and Chemical Resistance

PC offers excellent flame retardancy and does not spread fire or emit toxic gas. It is resistant to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals.
