PSU

Outline

Available in a wide range of temperatures, good thermal and electrical insulation properties, hydrolysis resistance, radiation stability

Characteristic

The PSU 1000 Polysulfone product is an amber, translucent engineering thermoplastic.

Compared to polycarbonate, it has good mechanical and electrical properties and excellent chemical resistance. One of the properties of polysulfone is that it maintains relatively constant physical properties in various temperature ranges from -150 ℉ (-100°C) to 300 ℉ (100°C).

The PSU 1000 polysulfone has a low water absorption rate, so it can be used continuously in hot water and steam up to 300 ℉ (100°C).

Fire resistance is rated UL94-V-0 at 1/4 "thickness" (6.35 mm) and UL94-V-2 at 1/8 "thickness" (3.175 mm).

The PSU1000 polysulfone is more than just polycarbonate when temperatures are high and chemical resistant or high pressure sterilization is required. It is commonly used as analytical instruments, medical devices, and parts for semiconductor processing equipment.

The colors of the food-grade PSU1000 can be specially ordered at the customer's request.

The food PSU1000 complies with FDA, MSF, 3A-Dairy, and USP Class VI.

Applications

Manifolds

The plate-cut manifold of the PSU1000 product is optically transparent, so it can be sterilized by radiation and does not crack or break due to environmental factors.

-Distributor Valves

For the poultry industry, the PSU1000 parts used in the processing line provide chemical resistance and minimal expansion.

(Previous material: Stainless steel)

-Medical Equipment Components

Parts cut with PSU1000 polysulfone can be used in dialysis equipment and withstand repeated autoclaving cycles.

(Previous assembly: stainless steel)

-Steam Cleaning Equipment Inserts

Inserts made from PSU1000 polysulfone reduce chemical attacks on nylon distribution blocks in hot water and steam cleaning equipment. (Previous material: nylon)
