Overview
Epoxy is a laminated glass sheet made by impregnating glass cloth with epoxy resin, then heating and pressing it in a multi-step high-pressure press. It has a uniform, hard surface that minimizes burr formation.
Characteristics
- Excellent Mechanical Properties
Made by impregnating epoxy resin into a fiberglass base, it has a lower specific gravity than metals but superior mechanical strength, making it suitable for industrial structural applications. With low water absorption and high surface resistance, it is ideal as an insulating reinforcement material. - Superior Electrical Properties
Due to its excellent electrical and machining properties, it is widely used in various applications. - Outstanding Machinability
Its low absorption rate results in minimal warping during storage, and thinner sheets have excellent punchability. - Excellent Dimensional Stability
Highly heat-resistant, it retains its shape well under thermal stress.
Applications
Used in heat-resistant component parts, transformers, flexible PVC jigs, switchboards, rotating machine edge parts, and electronic substrates.
