PP

Overview

CPP (Polypropylene) shares many properties with PE (Polyethylene), but it outperforms PE in terms of stress cracking resistance, transparency, and tensile strength.

Characteristics

  • Lightweight Property
Falls under the category of plastics with the lowest specific gravity.
  • Unique PP Hinge Property
Possesses excellent “hinge property,” meaning it resists repeated bending.
  • Food Safety
    Compliant with food hygiene regulations.
  • Resistant to Stress Cracking
  • Excellent Surface Appearance
    Glossy surface and relatively scratch-resistant.

Applications

Automotive parts, home electrical components, tableware, household items, stationery, office supplies, medical containers, containers and miscellaneous goods, food packaging films, textile materials, flat yarns.

Technical Data

The most notable feature of PP is its resistance to repeated bending, making it ideal for producing hinges (joint components).
Compared to PE, it is more vulnerable to impact and UV radiation at low temperatures.
